Isle of Man Golf Tours
What a BIG and pleasant surprise the golf courses on the Isle of Man are.
How selfish of the Isle of Man to keep such golfing gems to themselves for all these years. I, for one, will be returning. With no less than nine golf courses, and being a small island, it’s an ideal destination for a golf break – a lovely cluster of golf courses within very easy reach of each other. See what you can expect…

Fantastic scenery and golf courses

Never had I ever thought of going to the Isle of Man for a golf holiday but, being a golf travel writer, I was kindly invited by the Isle of Man Tourism Division and Isle of Man Golf Tours to check out the golf courses, and I’ve just returned. Conclusion: GREAT scenery, GREAT golf courses. LOTS to do.

Take a Trike tour of the TT circuit – great fun

I can highly recommend the Isle of Man Golf Tours who arrange far more than just golf if required. Find out about their golf holidays in the Isle of Man here>>

Recommended driver with large vehicle for touring Scotland: Unique Tours Scotland
Every now and again I come across people or companies I would selfishly like to keep to myself (because they are good!)… but I won’t, I’ll share them with you.
One is one small company in Scotland called Unique Tours Scotland, run by Lindsay Mann: he organises tailor-made tours around Scotland, plus B&B accommodation if required.

Lindsay knows Scotland like the back of his hand so if you want to discover ‘hidden’ Scotland, get away from the crowds, find the best scenery, enjoy being driven around Scottish whisky distilleries, or go golfing with your mates, contact Lindsay Mann on +44 (0)7790 399 350.

When you’re looking for a golf holiday, if you play golf to a good standard, you’ll probably be looking for a challenging course… one that will make you think; one with unusual hazards maybe; one that will test your golfing skills.
Well, have I got THE golf course for you. It’s WILD. Very wild.
Top golf course designers
It’s in South Africa so you won’t suffer jet lag getting there. It’s the Legend Golf & Safari Resort. Each of the 18 holes has been designed by a different renowned top golfer – Colin Montgomerie, Bernard Langer, Justin Rose, Trevor Immelman, Padraig Harrington, Vijay Singh, Sergio Garcia and Retief Goosen are just a few of them.

Legend Golf & Safari Resort Signature Course
19-hole golf course
The most amazing hole is the Extreme 19th. Yes, an optional 19th hole. It will cost you around £150 to play it but that’s because a helicopter is needed to get you to the tee up the Hanglip Mountain.
Unbelievable. Get to the top, look down at the Africa-shaped green… and, yes, it’s that itzy-bitzy postage stamp-sized green way down below – 400 metres way down below in fact.
See the Big 5 – Luxury safari holiday in South Africa
Not only will you be able to play the most exciting golf hole ever, but you can also enjoy an exceptional safari experience at the Legend Golf & Safari Resort as the Big 5 roam wild and free in the conservancy.
